I downloaded a new update for PhpStorm EAP and now it crashes every 5 minutes. Tried reinstalling - didn't help.
Is it just me or is it the same for you?

The disk where phpStorm is located is an SSD?
Try also Power Save Mode.

The new EAP also freezes for me, but not so often, about 5 times per working day.
Have to restart. The disk is the most common.

Similar trouble. On one project, by the way, far from the largest, PHP Storm periodically freezes. The algorithm is something like this:
Turn off the storm.
Surf browser.
You return to the storm.
With a probability of 2 out of 3, the storm will die for 10 seconds
. And I changed the versions of the storm, and put the project and the storm on the ram disk. Everything is in vain.

Found out that freezes began when the projects were transferred to the Dropbox folder.
After Dropbox turned off, the freezes stopped.
