Phone directory of employees of the organization?
Recommend a script or CMS for the implementation of the organization's telephone directory for internal use, with the possibility of nesting departments, departments and offices. With setting up additional fields for employees (name, position, email, department, photo, etc.).
At the moment, I'm leaning towards implementing it on WordPress, but I'm wondering if there are any specialized solutions?

We have adapted Bitrix Corporate Portal for these purposes. Pulls data from AD, works stably. There are additional fields, visual structure, list/table view. In general, everything you need, everything is present. The truth is worth the money.
If information about employees is in LDAP / Active Directory, then you can either easily and naturally google a ready-made solution and implement it after pre-processing with a file, or write your own directory in a very short period of time.
Take a look at eight.pitin.su , the developer's site on the second level domain, the latest version can be taken from github.com/tdvsdv/eight
Quite convenient.
See EGroupware Community Edition . And here is the description of the address book .
The directory should be done on the basis of AD, otherwise you will be tormented to synchronize it. It is easier to create accounts for cleaners and security guards than to keep 2 separate bases. :)
Can be done on any SMS. Or you can take some simple CRM, because in the end this will not be limited to the company's telephone directory ...
And only the intranet of the decision approaches? In the sense that the Internet service is not an option? Just a condition of internal use, i.e. I see only for workers, but there are no conditions for access only within the network.
Check out this solution. There is a nesting of divisions, departments, and divisions. Access control, inline editing of the directory by the responsible department.

You can try this one .
We fill in the fields with our data and everything is pulled from AD.
... if not only from AD, then you need your own database...
Late with the answer, but here is another version of the phone book for Active Directory: https://github.com/pfzim/ldap-phonebook
