OS X software for the work of a systems engineer?

Good afternoon. Now the question may not be very professional, but Moscow was not built right away.
Started working on os x. And I can not find many programs that I would need in my work. Now I use a virtual machine, but I really want to give it up. Maybe someone who knows will tell you analogues of such software as:
1. putty - is needed to connect to cisco with a terminal cable to configure it.
2. icedtea - java plugin for working with IPMI is very convenient. I work in priority with supermicro servers.

@Antonio-banderas

putty can be used under Mac OS - there are a lot of articles on how to put it there, but for some tasks the built-in terminal is enough

1) I use iTerm as a replacement for the standard terminal.
To work with the serial port, you can use screen
(just substitute the port number like /dev/tty.usbserial-FTALKY8I)
or minicom. Install it from brew.
The only thing is that you need to configure it and remove a bunch of modem commands, but this is done once.
I go to my supermicro via the bmc console through the browser, there were no problems ...
