OS on the computer, on the TV?

In general, such a story ...
There is a plasma and there is an old PC. An old PC without a hard drive, I want to put a live cd os on it and connect the whole balalaika to the TV, it will turn out something like a smart TV, and it would just be convenient, why would the computer lie at home, it costs a penny)
So.
What OS can be put on it?
But such that it can be like a live SD and that there are large icons, small ones are hard to see on a large TV set.
I tried Linux Fedora dwarf (I don’t rummage in Linux) it freezes a little bit, xs why (
What do you advise?

You can't see the little ones on a big TV.

You have never connected a computer to the TV. Check first, then write. Not to mention any settings.
It's easier to put a normal hard drive, since they are inexpensive. 2000r per terabyte.
Live from a flash drive on any system will slow down.
In general, any OS to taste.
No difference.
Browsers are the same everywhere for "watch something" or YouTube.
