On which CMS (CMS + a set of plugins) is it better to make a catalog site?
Good afternoon!
There is a need to make a website with product catalogs (just a showcase, without a basket).
What is required:
1) store sections are displayed on the main page (picture, name, description)
2) section pages with a list of goods
3) product page (photo, description, article, maybe some other special fields).
On which system is it easier to implement? I am not a connoisseur of popular CMS, so I would not want to mess around and figure it out for a long time. Maybe there is some simple solution?

Create on MODx Evolution. Copy-paste the layout of the page is inserted there. Further, in the tree on the left in the admin panel, create a folder "catalog", create resources (products) there as much as you like with any nesting. Display a list of goods in one or two lines anywhere in the template. Delov for 10-20 min. In general, with the finished layout, the catalog can be made in 1-2 hours. + huge speed of sites on MODx, nothing superfluous, incomprehensible scripts, plugins, pure CM(S)F like a tear, but everything will be there for the catalog.
To display catalog items, the Ditto snippet (a pull script from the resource base), to display menu-like things, the Wayfinder snippet.

CMF build site with add-ons modx.com.ua
I have been working on it for about 4 years, I advise. Learned very quickly.
Wordpress
Ready theme can be found here: themeforest.net/category/wordpress
and then minimal modifications and you're done.
I decided a long time ago the issue with the choice of CMS, all free wordpress, joomla, drupal, modx... and others take a lot of time to set them up, especially for an online store. I chose DiafanCMS and I am happy, everything is out of the box, it is edited quickly, it is a pleasure to administer / fill, the documentation is in Russian, but the license costs money.
Minicart CMS , demo on minicart.su - you need an online store engine, you can remove the buy button and the cart in 2 minutes.
On any CMS, seriously ...) such a template can be found for any CMS, I would do it on Joomla, because I love it (yes, yes, it's mutual with us)
someone would do it on WP - and that too option, someone on drupal, but not the point ...
The complexity is about the same everywhere, I think that the maximum - you will win 10-20% of the time ...
Shl. the easiest solution for you is to order a website :D
