On what resistors to assemble the heater?

There was a task to assemble a small heating element with a power of 50 watts.
After thinking, I decided to release it by screwing a dozen resistors in the TO-220 package to an aluminum plate and add a thermal relay and a fuse to this, powered by ac 220 V.
Of the suitable resistors, I found only MP925-100K-1%, but they are quite expensive.
Can you tell me if there is something more suitable?

Why be smart about something? Take 1 resistor of the correct value and the correct power.

Uninterruptible power supplies have decent 5-30 W resistors for battery self-diagnosis. Due to the high cost of new batteries, compared to the total price of an old uninterruptible power supply, the latter are often thrown away. This is how I put together a decent collection of load resistors. Good luck.

You can buy cheap transistors. This is how we heat CCD chips.
I found an even cheaper option: rolls .

It is better to use glass-braided nichrome wire. The resistor, although it will give its rated power, the heat transfer conditions will not be very good, after all, the resistor case is not intended for this.
As a thermal relay, you can use something like STH0024.

The resistor in the first comment is chic.
But if a toad presses, you can dial a bunch of 5 such resistors, connect them in series, and press them against an aluminum plate (the thicker the better) to increase heat distribution.

You can buy nichrome wire or fechral (kantal). These are sold in stores selling electronic cigarettes. issue price 5-50 re per meter.
according to the characteristics I can’t say for sure, 1 meter has a resistance of 2-3 ohms, it heats up to red without consequences.
