Headphone wires usually break in three places - at the plug (if twisted), where the wire enters the headphones (the most common breakage, the unsheathed wire comes off at the solder point when the headphones / cord is pulled), and on the volume control, if any (cheap volume controls have poor soldering). The last two breaks are repaired for a couple of minutes with the most deshman soldering iron.
They can break on expensive headphones, but the chance is less.
You can make cheap headphones last a long time, but you need to choose models without volume control and with cable amplification at the headphone input.

Perhaps they were of poor quality, so they broke. Read reviews about your headphones and from them you can evaluate the quality of the headphones.

Buy normal ears. Plantronix 720 for example. Cost me 50 bucks. They don’t hiss, the wires are soft, of course I didn’t pull extremely, but unlike any shit for gamers, you can sit in them for 2 hours and your ears don’t sweat and your head doesn’t fall off. And the sound is really clear and legible when talking.

I take the most razdishman dishman for a child, because he has dishman for 200 rubles, which are relatively expensive for 3-4 thousand, they live for two or three months. My ears have been working for years - nothing breaks, does not fall off, and not even the most expensive ones, for example, the very ordinary Panasonic RP-HT161 for a year and a half, but everything did not sit like a fly;)
