How to connect Earpods +mic to PC?

I bought a splitter wire for this case, which separates the sound separately and the microphone channel from Earpods separately. But when I checked, nothing worked. Rather, the sound goes, but the microphone does not. Perhaps the fact is that the splitter has a slightly different pinout. Before buying the wire, I asked again and the seller said that the adapter is 4-pin, like Earposd. I checked it on different sound cards and computers, but there is still no effect. Can anyone come across? If yes, then tell me.
