No sound on pc why?

Playback devices are not displayed (Show disconnected and disconnected devices - there are checkmarks), I installed the system, I installed firewood, there is no external sound.

What could be the reason?

The most common chip responsible for sound is a small (nail-sized) square with the designation ALC8xx (or something like that) and a characteristic "horned" manufacturer's logo. Touch it with your finger - if it's so hot that your finger can't stand it, then turn off the built-in sound in the BIOS and connect an external USB sound system.
A fairly common malfunction, in my practice it happened more than once or twice.

@oh_vvow, Boot from some live distribution. Remove the driver, install an older one (or roll back the current one).
