No displayport signal. What is the problem?

Monitor Samsung C24FG73FQI connected with gtx 1050 ti via DP - DP cable. There is no signal to the monitor. Tried with 2 DP cables, one 100% working, 2nd out of the box, but both don't work with this monitor. When connected via HDMI, there are no problems.

The only (not quite, but for simplicity) way to diagnose and find out the culprit is to replace each of the three components with a known working one or check with known working ones. Connecting your video card with a known working cable to a working monitor, connecting your cable to a known working video card and monitor, connecting your monitor to a known working card and cable... There are not as many combinations as it might seem. You just need to find a friend with such a set or go to the store if everything was bought not very long ago.
