New solutions in the field of centralized management?

Student, 4th year, studying to be a system and network administrator.
I am planning a diploma on Active Directory, I am interested in topics in the field of organization and centralized systems management. But I don’t know what solutions and technologies are currently relevant in this area.
Of the centralized management technologies, I am only familiar with Active DIrectory for Windows and FreeIPA for Linux.
What else to study on this topic? Are there alternatives to FreeIPA for Linux systems?

Consider AD, in a hybrid environment, with a set of linux/unix distributions, and bringing them into the domain, organizing rights (root/sudo etc.), via domain uz. Quite relevant and very helpful. The truth is difficult. IMHO)

The latest trend in centralized management is device configuration control.
Puppet, Ansible, already mentioned above, and the implementation from Microsoft - PowerShell DSC.
They can work in conjunction with AD, and remove the need to use logon scripts. In addition, you can implement components to control third-party software.

Sorry, but your teacher must have once loved Novel... A thousand years, like in the afternoon.....
Everything is fucking outdated!!!!...
take a look out the window --- Data centers are coming.. And they have all sorts of SaaS, Paas, IaaS, SeaaS ....
Then the system administrators turn into devops, let a part, the anikeys remain for now, and you need to administer not the system, but the infrastructure of the servers in your office,
in the cod rack places, where you should be responsible not for 1-2,
but for several tens-hundreds of Wirth servers, and then
dockers, cubertets, ansibles and papets are in your hand, and to ensure relatively
regular deployment and integration ......
Three with half a year down the drain .... To hell with this with a diploma, you'll pass for a three!
Urgently run learn and hand over at least LPIC 1 and 2 to the admin Linux server, and with this
knowledge and skills in Yandex, in Yandex, maybe. At first, they will take you as an anonymizer ...
or to NOCs, but then you need to become a siscomaniac, a specialist in all their catalysts and other routers ....
