Need to choose a server for math computing and virtualization?

Need to choose a server for math computing and virtualization? Tell.
UPD: Apparently it was too obvious for me... You need a piece of hardware to provide a computational task with a large number of parallel threads at the lowest price.
UPD: Please advise specific pieces of iron. The answer is where there are many cores, and I myself can give myself.

If we draw an analogy with cars, then the question can be formulated as follows: "You need to choose a car for travel and transportation. Tell me." What kind of trips, what is planned to be transported, what distances, what masses, what dimensions, whether the cargo is fragile, or, for example, requires compliance with the temperature regime - is unknown. Well, what advice can you give with such initial data?

I suggest, based on the question - take the most powerful, expensive and beautiful. It feels like you were given a task and not put in the know.
The calculator and VirtualBox will run on a large number of modern budget hardware

For mathematical calculations or virtualization? On mat. take a computer with as many PCI-E lines as possible and the most powerful processor, insert CUDA cards into the slots (almost everything is designed for them) and enjoy. Under virtual machines - more memory, more cores with more cores (if Microsoft) and a normal disk subsystem.
And if together, then just connect, now hypervisors allow you to forward the resources of the "video card" (that is, the computer based on them) inside the VM.
