My favicon is not showing up in google search. But it displays 'W', the Wordpress favicon. Glitch?

Recently the site was cleaned from Chinese viruses. The main page was not indexed at all. After cleaning, everything was indexed well, the favicon was also shown in the search results as it should.
At one point, I noticed that on the site on all pages in the issuance of Google, all site icons were replaced with the Wordpress icon (White W on a blue background).
Changed formats png ico icons, nothing helps. The site icon is not included in the index.

What are the thoughts on this matter, can anyone come across?

Upd. Through the Search Console, I re-indexed the main page every time after I changed the favicon. In total, about a week and a half has passed.

The issue was resolved. Google indexed my favicon.
Installing a favicon using Wordpress, he did not correctly set the attributes for it,
for example, by adding a 48x48 icon, I received tags on the site with the following attributes:

<link rel="icon" href="https://site.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/favicon-1.ico" sizes="32x32">
<link rel="icon" href="https://site.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/favicon-1.ico" sizes="192x192">

And by adding an icon in png format, an attribute was added to everything, type="image/x-icon"which is also wrong.
Google updated the favicon on the site almost two weeks after I hardcoded the correct link to the favicon in the WordPress theme template header. Dimensions 48x48
<link rel="icon" href="https://site.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="https://site.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">

And which of these fixed the problem (hardcode in the link header without a lot of nesting and without specifying the size, or the time for Google to index the site and change the icon in the search engine) is unknown.

Favicons are ok. It is possible that the page was indexed earlier with an old favicon. Wait a while or re-bypass
