MSI CX623, incomprehensible model, what drivers to download?
I got a laptop, whose sticker made it clear that the model is MSI CX623.
First of all, I went to the MSI website to download the driver package, found this model and decided to first look at the specifications of this machine and was shocked:
It turns out that this laptop is equipped with either i3 or i5, on the sticker, in turn, it says that Intel Celeron is installed in the laptop P4600. This confused me a little. Further, I decided to find drivers for the Wi-Fi adapter, went to the download section for this laptop, looked at what drivers can be downloaded, they turned out to be for two types of chipsets, one for atheros, the other for msi (is there such a thing? I didn’t know). Well, I think, now I need to decide what kind of chipset I have. It turned out that Ralink 3090. What kind of laptop is this, which does not match the specifications of. manufacturer's website?

After searching the Internet, I found out - you did not fully identify the model! For example, MSI CX623-224L is
equipped with a Pentium Dual Core P6100 processor. And your model is MSI CX623-296 ntel P4600 2000MHz / 2048MB / 250GB / nVidia GeForce G 310M
There are options even worse, in the case of iRU, you may not find drivers on offsite at all, only through the support service, these are the realities, unfortunately.
Either use the softinka to determine the devices, or by the method of scientific poke.
Tip on MSI website at least for WI FI modules - www.msi.com/html/pdf/wireless_note.pdf
Well, firstly, I would search the net for information on this laptop and its firewood, in Google \ Yandex. Maybe something will clear up. If not, write to those. MSI support.
Secondly, through AIDA64 you can try to see the parameters of the piece of iron in an understandable form, or, if you can, through UbuntuLiveCD (ubuntu because there are a lot of firewood in it). Then you can either google picking up firewood one at a time, or use DriverPackSolution. But the firewood from its kit can (but not necessarily!) bug out on the laptop, because often they use some specific or perverted solutions that ordinary hardware drivers do not know about (like the ACPI of my lenovo s10-3c).
search on the site by equipment ID devid.info or search in the Internet by the same ID
For Windows
Driver Pack Solution, set it on the laptop, then look in the list of devices for what kind of devices.
If you do not trust the viral purity of DPS, then you can write off the names of the devices, download the drivers from the device manufacturer's website, then rearrange Win and download the already downloaded drivers.
For Linux
If you install Linux, then everything should start with a half-kick.
You can also get a list of devices in Linux (you can also use LiveCD) with the lshw command , run as root. And then back to the manufacturers' websites.
