mqtt implementation for iot without static ip?

Tell me, I want to create a network at home for homemade sensors on esp and nodemcu. I tried to bring nodemcu to the Internet but I could not because there is no static ip. Later I googled the topic about mqtt but did not quite understand that a static ip is needed there. I don’t consider ready-made solutions for node because I want to invent my own. If anyone has experience with this topic, please share.
