Mouse cursor doesn't move in Ubuntu 16.10, but mouse works. Buttons are pressed, menus open. How to fix?
I decided to install Ubuntu as a second system. Even at the installation stage, the cursor hovered in the upper left corner. At the same time, I noticed that if you move the mouse, the icons are highlighted. I can click on the elements, but the arrow stays in place.
Since the last use, Ubuntu has changed the video to 1070 and (I don’t remember exactly) the mouse to Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2000 + keyboard. It used to work on ubunu 14.

I decided to install Ubuntu as a second system. Why then did you choose the unstable version? It was created for software developers under ubuntu, not for mere mortals. It does not differ in stability, it has a support period of only 9 months.
I have such a bug on Mint 17.3 at system startup, it helps Ctrl + alt + del - to end the session and log in again
I had the same mouse issue on Ubuntu 16.10 after changing my graphics card from a GTX 650 Ti to a GTX 1070. Tired of dealing with cursor issues. Decided to demolish 16.10 and install 16.04. But not here it was the screen with an enviable constancy showed (OUT OF RANGE). (That's why Tails with Tor didn't run on the desktop either) Everything worked fine on the integrated graphics !!!!
