Motherboard in autostart. What's wrong?
Socket 775. Motherboard: Foxconn L S-36. I purchased an Intel xeon e5450 to replace the intel core 2 duo e7500. The motherboard goes into autostart, but there is no squeak of the device on the board (I forgot the name). Can the motherboard go into autostart due to the BIOS / motherboard not supporting the processor? Resetting the BIOS with a battery (for 5 minutes) did not help (with a battery because I did not find a jumper to clear cmos). Can I somehow fix this by flashing the BIOS or is it a kaput?
