I had a netbook with a dead motherboard, I bought the same laptop, but with a broken matrix cheaply at an auction, I changed it - I sold the remaining spare parts at the same auction. Here is simple mathematics - to calculate how much you can buy a spare part for, whether you can change it yourself or you will have to pay the master and for how much you can then sell the repaired laptop ;-)
Asus Aspire 4745.? hehe
Just water? Not tea, not beer, but plain water? dry it out and that's it.
I think that the price will be comparable to half the cost of a laptop and searches with delivery will take time.
Sell the corpse for parts and buy a new piece of iron. IMHO, this is more cost-effective, plus get new hardware (faster percent, more memory, etc.)
Now fill the motherboard with alcohol, seriously! Then try to start, just do not connect anything, except for power.
The fir trees are burning. Why change the motherboard. When a client brings me a laptop filled with liquid, I do not change the motherboard, but restore it and give a guarantee for my work. There have never been returns, and such repairs are cheaper than buying a new motherboard. And yes, just drying will not work, as electrically conductive salts will remain.
