Monitor choice: 27 with portrait mode vs 32 without?
They offered to change the current 23 minitor at work. There are only two options to choose from, both are budget and probably not the most recent: Iiyama ProLite XB3270QS and Iiyama ProLite XUB2792QSU-1. Ubuntu 16.04 and stock HD4600.
I am not a graphic designer or an artist. I work most of the time in Android Studio and Qt Creator. I have never worked behind portrait monitors, I understand that for Word-a they rule unequivocally, but for coding different things, everyone is in doubt - is it worth sacrificing 5 inches of diagonal for portrait orientation or not? Qt says "definitely!", in Android Studio the desire to stretch the monitor in width / height with the same frequency occurs, but not so much, every minute.

I tried to work on a 32" monitor, it's not convenient, the screen is too big, you can't grasp it with your eyes, you have to twist your neck. So I advise you to stop at 27", and in portrait mode both of these monitors are not convenient, for a portrait lens you need to take something with a ratio sides 16 by 10. IMHO
