Miktex vs tug native texlive, which tex-live distribution to choose?

The ports contain version tex-live_2015, outdated, I need fvextra packages and fresh listings, for production purposes. Got up without problems and tex-live 2021 from tug.org https://tug.org/texlive/acquire-netinstall.html and port https://www.freshports.org/print/miktex/ . Both installations with fresh packages and the ability to upgrade, both seem to work fine, not buggy. Which one to leave? Maybe there are pitfalls, a rake that has already been stepped on? I would be grateful for advice, considerations, exchange of experience.
