Micromarking and meta tags are the same thing?

I can't understand this one at all. the same or slightly different.
And if different, then what is the fundamental difference between all this: Micromarkup, Microformats / Micorformats, Microdata / Microdata, Open Graph, JSON-LD, RDFa.

Meta tags are used in the head. Micromarking in body.

- A meta tag is a construct in the html markup of the form <meta>, used to describe the page as a whole inside the block <head></head>. It can also be used to describe microdata. The meta tag is one of the universal building blocks for creating a web page.
- Microdata is a set of parameters that describe a set of data: data type (product, contacts, image, recipe, etc.) and their components (on the example of a product: name, image of a product, link to a product, description of a product, its dimensions, weight etc...).
- Microformats, Microdata, Open Graph, JSON-LD, RDFa are markup styles (formats). The style is only responsible for how the microdata set will look like in the form of text code.
- What markup styles are best for an online store to use?
If you are targeting Yandex + Google, then schema.org markup in the form of JSON-LD will be enough - both PSs read them and validate
Yandex markup requirements:

  • Goods
  • Organizations

Google markup requirements:
  • Goods
  • Organizations

In the same sections, you will also find requirements for other microformats that you may find useful.
