MacMini late 2009 and 8 GB RAM

I'm going to upgrade the RAM on my mac mini.
The documentation says that the maximum supported amount of RAM is 4 GB.

Information slipped on some forums that after updating EFI to version 1.2, 8 GB was supported.
There are also statements that only 4 GB can be addressed, and glitches are possible.

Nobody faced?

If you have macmini3,1, then it supports (one of the proofs ).
But apple is harmful to memory (not everyone will accept it). I would recommend ordering on owc or immediately agree on the possibility of a return if you take it locally.

Late 2009 works with 8GB absolutely fine
and all the dice work fine, except for the kingston square series, it's better to bypass it, it works 50/50

If the chipset is on nVidia 9400 and DDR3-1066 memory, then it will pull 8 gig

I understand that I am a necroposter, but I myself recently encountered this problem, so I decided to unsubscribe for future generations :)
The situation is similar to that of the author, MacMini late 2009 with 4 GB of memory, it needs to be expanded to 8.
Moreover, native dice were Kingston 1333D3S9 / 2G two pieces. As you can see from the marking, this is PC3‑10600 memory, although the maximum PC3‑8500 is declared in the spec on Apple's website. Those. they themselves put unsupported memory. No matter how it sounds.
I bought two KVR13S9S8 / 4 dies - they did not take off either together or one at a time. Although the same PC3‑10600 as native.
Exchanged for Transcend Jetram (JM1066KSN-4G) - started. Sees all 8 gigabytes of memory.
Thus, which is rather strange, the PC3‑10600 memory only works with a 2GB stick, 4 does not start anymore. The memory of the PC3‑8500 works fine.
