Macbook Pro 2013 13 Late 13 2.6Hz Why don't the specifications match?
Good afternoon.
Thinking about buying a Macbook. We need a compact model, the choice fell on the Macbook Pro Retina 2013 A1502.
I chose an option on the local trading platform, I decided to look at the characteristics of this model at the office. site. And I noticed that on this model with a 2.6 processor, a more capacious 512 SSD should be installed. The seller has 256 ssd, 8GB of RAM.
Here is a link to the model that I found from the seller:
https://support.apple.com/kb/SP691?locale=en_US&vi...
SN: C02MH1NUFH01
The serial number on the bottom cover and in the OS info are the same.
Question. How can this be? The seller claims that he only changed the battery.
Question 2. Will I be able to install 16GB RAM and a larger SSD in this model?

Apple sometimes happens that when buying in the constructor, you can not only improve, but also simplify / reduce the cost of the configuration relative to the basic one. It was possible to choose an option for a disk that was smaller in volume than it was in the standard.
I can’t vouch for 2013, but for a very long time there has been a choice of what I want to buy, as it is now

it turns out they took a powerful percentage, but left the disk old.
like those years, only ssd can be changed to a larger volume, but there is not an ordinary m.2, you need either adapters or a special disk to look for a model.
And old models are very easy to change the serial number, so we look at the hardware inside
