Macbook pro 13 early 2013 mini display-port - hdmi doesn't support 2k?
Good afternoon! I bought a benq gw2765 monitor and a mini displayport to hdmi cable for a macbook. I connected everything and saw that the resolution on the monitor was set to 1920x1080. When I called apple cn, I was told that with this connection 2k should be supported. Also on the official apple website this connection is described and that 2k is supported at a frequency of 30Hz, but in the monitor settings you can specify a minimum of 50Hz. Perhaps someone met with this problem?

You need to look at the HDMI version in your cord. Not every HDMI pulls 2k.
I didn’t understand about hertz at all - 30Hz is a piso, why do you need it, spoil your eyes?
I'll ask a possibly stupid question, but still: did you insert the mDP connector into the macbook and HDMI into the monitor?
It is also possible a bad cable, maybe a Chinese copy in general? Many people face the same problem because of the cable. At the very same company that you have (as it turned out, I just looked), only there it is still with a minijack (2 in 1) - it didn’t pull 2k for me either, maximum full HD.
