Macbook M1 Air/Pro. What is the difference?

Hello, I'm planning to buy Macbook'a on M1. Occupation: Frontend development.
Interested in answers to the following questions:
- Does macOS have 8 gigabytes of RAM? Or is 16GB a must have for a developer?
- Does the Macbook Air feel fine without active cooling?
- What is the fundamental difference between the Air/Pro M1? From what I know: cooling, touch bar, 1 GPU core difference (7vs8). Points 2 and 3 are not critical for me.

The difference of 35,000 rubles between Macbook Air (8gb) and Macbook Pro (8gb) is very noticeable, so I would like to clearly understand the practical difference between these two devices, and not overpay for the Pro prefix and a more strict design)
