Macbook air with 8gb for web development?
Has anyone worked with a macbook air 13 m1 8gb? Do you need 8 GB? I wanted to take this laptop, but I'm afraid that there will not be enough RAM (there is no money for 16GB). Usually when I work, I have open: phpstorm, browser, slack, telegram, local server.

Enough for the eyes. RAM in MacBooks is not an indicator, people work at 4 GB without problems.
Especially on M1.
I have a browser with ~ 30 tabs constantly open on my M1 8gb, telegram, vscode and a second 4k screen - everything is smooth and without brakes.
I have owned it since December 2020, so far there are no complaints at all, only delight
No, eight are not enough for m1, now Xcode, Slack + figma is open, the latter periodically reboots and swears that there is not enough memory.
Save on RAM is not worth it. I wouldn’t save on an SSD either, but it’s better to save on it than on RAM
