Will there be full software compatibility with hardware when restoring from a backup of another MacBook?
There is a MacBook Pro with a bunch of information and software. And there is also a new zero MacBook Air 13. I want to restore a backup copy (macbook pro) on a brand new MacBook Air 13. The question is, will there be full software and hardware compatibility? And will all identifiers (model name, host, etc.) adjust to the new air 13?

Apple is promoting hardware upgrades. You make a copy of the old laptop (TimeMachine) and restore it on the new one.
It will work, I checked it myself.
