Why does my MacBook Pro get hot while in sleep mode?
I own a MacBok Pro 13 (early 2015). Only a month ago I upgraded to Catalin, after which I began to notice that the macbook began to get very hot in sleep mode. Moreover, it heats up more than during operation. The battery charge also quickly sits down - in sleep mode, the charge can drop by 50% in 3 hours. Again, this does not happen directly when working on it - it eats charging as it did before the update, it heats up moderately. What could be the reason? How can I diagnose using built-in tools (what and how much charge is consumed during sleep, for example)? And what do you recommend in this case?
PS sending the macbook to sleep, closed all applications, killed all the processes I started - the result is the same.

If it heats up, then it is not in sleep mode . It means doing useful work (or so he thinks). Leave it overnight on charge, let it do what it needs. Maybe spotlight indexes.
Increased heating rate , with the lid closed.
Which application does not let you fall asleep can be seen in ActivityMonitor, you will see the necessary column for yourself.
The cardinal solution would be to turn off PowerNap for all modes.
The same beech, the same year, also when switching to Catalina, troubles began with the loss of charge during sleep. When you roll back (when installing cleanly), the problem goes away. Things have only gotten worse at Big Sur. A demon (secd) has appeared, eating up to 60% of the processor both in sleep and in operating mode. When installed cleanly with consumption in the operating mode, everything settled down, but in a dream - up to 10% per hour!
I optimized pmset, as it turned out, since the days of Mojave, new parameters have appeared in the power settings (it is likely that not all of them are friendly with hardware early 2015), sleep consumption has fallen, then 1% per day, then 1-2% per hour. In this case, you can see how the computer is selected from hibernation when the lid is opened.
We solved the problem very simply: you need to give a few commands in the terminal and everything will fall asleep as expected. The commands can be viewed here https://prostolinux.ru/kak-zastavit-mac-os-usnut/
If the MAC OS system is updated, then most likely you need to enter these commands again, it happened to me.
