Does mac mini support this adapter when connected to a monitor?

mac mini (2015) needs to be connected to a monitor that does not have an hdmi output, you have to use such an adapter NL_ghqRY9lg.jpgwith it, it would look like a trace. way, Kt2BW8r0kwQ.jpg
but I can’t connect, and it says on the monitor to check the cable connection. The

question is, is the reason for this in an adapter that somehow does not support mac mini or something else? if with the same monitor connection to a laptop (asus) everything worked well.
And is there a difference if you use a solid cable?

because everything was connected with such a cable, but the monitor was different

I connect VGA to mac via mini display port to vga , any other "compote" from adapters did not work.
There is some difficulty with signal conversion, I don’t remember the details, but simple adapters plugged into each other will not work.
