Macbook air 2020 with Intel processor or Macbook air 2020 with M1 processor?

Which of these options to choose? air on intel-900$, air on M1-1300$. My budget is just $ 900 (I would not want to overpay). A laptop is needed exclusively for everyday tasks (surfing the Internet, watching movies, working in text editors). It is very important to have a good display. At first I wanted to take Air on Intel, but I read that it has problems with cooling (it gets very hot even at low loads). Maybe there is an alternative on Windows with a good display, or still save money and take the air to the M1? Maybe someone has experience using Macbook air 2020 on an Intel processor? How does he behave in such everyday tasks?

Strictly M1. There is no point in looking back.
For the last 10 days I have been using M1 16gb of RAM to the full for development, I even mounted a couple of clips in FCP with low-fat ones. So, for these 10 days he never turned on the fans.
The Air that you choose for 8GB is probably in the cheapest configuration, look towards the student discounts on the apple website, what if you fit? save a little.
The M1 processor is cooler than the current firmware on intel. And much cooler than the outdated AIR.
And the difference is 400 dollars. Well divide it by 12 months. Are you willing to pay $35/month for the many benefits (Non-lag system, >10 hours of operation, no overheating issues)?

A month from Pro to m1, no problems at all. Except for a non-working storm, but thanks to the MBP 16 "and so long ago I had to abandon it. I bought it for tests, now as the main one, but the Pro 16" is gathering dust and the M1 is better in everything, well, maybe except for launching applications for the first time, with the naked eye it really takes longer than once at 2-3, you have to watch the jumping icon for 2-3 seconds.

I wouldn't rush into the M1. After all, their first product. It is not known how it will behave in the future. Better to wait and see.

M1 for sure. If I changed now, I wouldn't even have a choice. I have Air generation 2018, I took it in 2019, right before they returned the normal keyboard, that's a bummer. Feels like it's dumber than the mid-13 version. The difference with the M1 will be simply colossal

Was on the top firmware 16. I switched to a macbook m1. From above I took a minik on m1. Developer, great flight.
