Mac OS X: why are there ads instead of YouTube videos?

The girl on the poppy has such a jamb: on YouTube, the video itself often just stops (time does not go on the counter), and instead of the video, ads start to go. Not YouTube, but just left-handed advertising in English (the system is in English, but the IP is Ukrainian, YouTube advertising plays in Russian).
She does not install updates right away and there is still a pirated Microsoft office there.
I have almost the same macbook and the same axis, the same YouTube, the same two plug-ins in the browser (Adblock and Gmail) and I don’t have such things. I have, however, all the software purchased.
Did her poppy catch some kind of "virus"?
