Not enough information.

After an unsuccessful attempt to install Linux
What exactly was the failure of the attempt?
poppy stopped seeing her
The drive is not visible in what way: as a logical drive, as a correctly defined device?
Also, given the "failure" that has occurred and the specifics of Macs, do you have a Windows computer handy?
If so, download R.tester and see how it detects the flash drive - whether volume, model, etc. will be visible.
But in general, the game is hardly worth the candle. If the flash drive has failed, then the memory has already outlived its usefulness. Trust anything at least somewhat valuable to such a drive is not worth it.
You can try to revive it with the help of technological utilities selected by VID / PID, but after that use it only for garbage.
If you need data from a flash drive, then you need to contact specialists, and do not even touch technological utilities.
If not, it's best to take advantage of the warranty.
