Lost time in winXP after downloading Kubuntu 11.04

I installed the second OS Kubuntu 11.04 - during installation I specified the time zone Kiev +3 GMT
In winXP it costs Kiev +2GMT

When loading Linux - everything is ok, the time is always correct.

There are problems in Windows. If I loaded Linux before loading Windows, then in Windows the time will be exactly 3 hours behind.

Before that, there was Kubuntu 10.04 - there were never any problems.

On linux, you need to set UTC or on Windows. To do this on Windows:
launch the registry editor (Win+R and write regedit). Find \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation there and create a DWORD value there called RealTimeIsUniversal and set its value to ONE.

When you installed Ubuntu, you checked the "System clock is set to UTC" checkbox.

Correct /etc/default/rcS:
change UTC=yes to "no"

Kiev +3 GMT - You have opened a new time zone. Actually, the Kyiv belt +2. Although this is offtopic, I do not know the solution =)

On Linux, do you have time as UTC or how is localtime configured?

I dare to assume with some sickly calculations that in order to correct the time in Win, you need to set the time zone +5 in Win itself =)

I have a similar problem observed in MacOS and Win7.
I tried to set the time zone in UTC on Windows, it did not help, I'll try tomorrow through the registry as in the answer above.
