Looking for a piece of iron with linux on board

I'm looking for a device (or a way to assemble this device) whose task will be:
1) connect to wifi with encryption;
2) connect to the broadcast server and play the stream.

I would like, of course, linux, because. the task of connecting to wifi is not trivial in itself, and even more so with encryption and writing from scratch for some kind of exotic is not a hunt.

In principle, any wifi router with usb is ideal for this task, take at least dir-320 is what you need.
But there is interest in trying to assemble something of your own, DIY, so to speak.

Has anyone done or seen something similar?

What about the Cisco WRT160NL? Quite a kosher piece of iron with Linux.

As a happy owner of the Linksys WRT160NL, I can say whether it will fit or not
