esxcli system syslog reload

esxcli system syslog config get
The values ​​​​are the same as those entered in the graphical shell. But after some time, a new log file does not open, and the previous ones are not deleted. But I noticed something, when we turn off the virtual machine, a new log file is created, and the old ones remain. Why is rotation not performed once the number of files is 2?
