Behavior of sapshots on connected devices?

Hi all. Who knows how snapshots will work in this situation:
A hard disk is connected to the virtualization host via USB, this connection is forwarded to one virtual machine.
As part of the process, some information is thrown there. Before updating the vm, I create a snapshot of this vm. Does this snapshot propagate to the connected USB device or not?
In my opinion, it should not be snapshot, but I would like to hear how it is in reality.

No, only local disks and memory get under snapshots, if you set the flag when taking a snapshot. All dropped devices are considered stateless when taking a snapshot, even USB drives.
