Lenovo Ideapad 530s or Lenovo Thinkpad E480?

Hello!
It's time to change the laptop. I work in PhpStorm IDE, Docker virtualization. In short, for programming and any devops.
Games and graphics do not care about the word at all.
As a result, I picked up two machines around 50k:
- Lenovo Ideapad 530s 15 (i5 8250u, 8gb DDR4, 256gb ssd, glossy 15' 1920x1080)
- Lenovo Thinkpad E480 (i5 8250u, 8gb DDR4, 256gb ssd, matte 14' 1920x1080)
Both you can push additional RAM.
The Ideapad 530s looks good, but the Thinkpad E480 has better battery life. Yes, and they say that the glossy display is not easy to use.
And yes, the Thinkpad E480 is 7mm thicker.
Questions:
1) Where is the screen better? Judging by the reviews, both displays are not so hot, which are average. Does anyone have experience in using it?
2) A lot of complaints about the wild noise of the cooler in the 530s. Who faced? Invented problem or not? I now have a six year old Acer TravelMate 253, how noisier is this ideapad?
Also, which of the two would you recommend? Maybe there are other decent options?

Mac not considering? I switched from an i5 8Gb laptop to an old Core2Duo 4Gb macbook. Subjectively, it works much quieter, more pleasant, and nothing hangs. In short, happy as a mammoth.
