Is there some kind of equipment that can be installed on a city TV tower, and you can cling to it from the roofs of houses?

That is, a large scale is of interest, with the purchase of permission for frequencies, etc., the conclusion of an agreement with a television center.

I think it must be something like some kind of device, possibly Wi-Fi, with an antenna with a circular pattern, or a device with a large number of connectors for connecting sector antennas.

Interested in the maximum low cost of subscriber devices, and a high data transfer rate in both directions.

It can be considered as an "Emitter-Receiver-Subscriber" scheme, when a receiver is installed for each subscriber, and the speed may not be too high, up to one hundred megabits. So is the "Emitter-Receiver-House access switch-subscribers" - with this type, the link speed should already be higher.

Such a scheme is of interest, since our city is small, Syktyvkar, 250 thousand people. population. The TV tower is visible from any area. Now we shoot in the absence of our optics in the building - Ubiquity M5 / M2 or nano-nostics locks, but it is necessary for each subscriber to first install an access point, then install a receiver on the subscriber building.

With a centralized access point on a TV tower, it would be more convenient.

In a city, not even a big one, radio channels will experience serious interference one way or another. With increasing range or directivity, the signal will weaken and lose stability very much. Most likely, for a normal result, all the same directional antennas and the same receivers will be needed, in the same quantity, but with greater power due to the increased range to subscribers' houses. It seems to me that in this scenario, both the provider and the subscriber will be at a disadvantage. It’s better to slowly spread your optics and win back houses (if they are multi-apartment)

A radio channel with every subscriber is a completely bad idea.
Radio ethernet is used when it is not possible to lay a terrestrial channel, and usually for individual subscribers. In an extreme case, a wireless ethernet from a TV tower to some thread of a tall house, and from it to subscribers and several neighboring houses - by cable. But the speed will naturally be terrible.
In my practice, radio ethernet was a cheap way to connect slow Internet to some remote warehouse, 3-5-10 km from civilization, where it was expensive to pull optics and high speed was not needed.
Or a small office, in the conditions of an old building, where it was unrealistic to get permission to lay a cable or throw an air vent.
In your case, covering the entire city is a very bad idea. Starting from slow communication, depending on the weather and the emergence of problems with air pollution. Plus building - the likelihood that a house will suddenly be built along the route of the radio channel has long ceased to be a joke.
It is better to slowly connect the areas with optics.

This is an absolutely unpromising idea in our time. The need for Internet speed and ping has long been not like zero, and such a mass radio service will only be able to provide their level, but will not be able to compete in quality with 4G. Actually, if you choose between the usual mobile Internet with understandable tariffs and devices and a strange provider with special equipment - what will consumers choose?
