UV radiation, when penetrating into matter, knocks out the electrons of atoms from their orbitals along the entire trajectory of passage - degradation occurs. Plastic becomes cloudy over time, becomes brittle - as part of the molecules collapsed due to the loss of electrons involved in the bonds. Penetrating power is proportional to transparency - transparent plastics have a little more (1mm), black ones have less (0.1mm). Glass also absorbs some of the UV radiation, while quartz glass transmits almost completely.
As a result of heating, the LCD loses its ability to be controlled - a black or white screen.
LCD polarizing filters lose their polarizing ability over time - the screen will lose contrast, and the controlled polarizing filter (pixel matrix) will lose its ability to be controlled - some pixels will fail earlier.
OLED, displays will dim and pixels will fail faster

UV radiation damages plastic, makes it brittle and changes its color.
