For what reasons anti-aliasing may not work in games?

Greetings! A year ago, I bought myself a widescreen Iiyama ProLite XUB2792HSU monitor . In general, I am satisfied with the choice, but recently I noticed that anti-aliasing does not work in video games. The bottom line is that objects in games acquire a flickering effect until you get closer to them. In particular, this is clearly visible on all sorts of shadows, fences and windows, etc. And all this is manifested in games of different years of release. Whether it's Stalker 2, Valorant or ETS2. That is, the spread in quality and level of technology is different. At first I didn't really pay attention to it, but now it's starting to annoy me and I want to get rid of it. What considerations can be in this regard? The connection is via Display-port

what has changed from the moment when the problem was not and when it appeared?
it is possible that the video card settings in the control panel (or whatever it is called for your model) will be trite to pick up quite
old games and flicker - very similar to the feature of the video card driver version, unfortunately, when using the latest versions of windows, there may not be a compatible version in which there is no flicker, this is already a matter of research and experimentation, up to installing some kind of win7 exclusively for old games

Try tweaking your graphics card settings.

Anti-aliasing is anti-aliasing, flicker is flicker, they are completely different things.
