Network routing
Alexander, 2018-11-13 13:52:20

Is this number of networks normal in OSPF?

Hi all.
I work with dynamic routing insofar as the architectural question naturally arose: are the networks chosen too flat and scattered and will the further growth of the routing table (and it will certainly be) create problems in the future? Perhaps some optimizations need to be done before it's too late.
An example of a config of one of the branches, OSPF protocol.

Thank you.
UPD. Then please explain about the number of tunnels in the table. We have to announce the /30 tunnel networks through which OSPF goes in order for it to work at all. But any branch does not need to know about the other branch's tunnel network at all. The question is, can these routes be avoided, or is it a necessary evil?

In principle, there will be no problems as long as the tablet is placed in the RAM.
well, OSPF doesn't really give you options :)
PS It's not much, when you get to three zeros, then you can already talk about something, but I'm afraid then you will be more worried about bandwidth;)

It depends on the performance of the equipment, I had a network with 2k+ OSPF prefixes, although they were divided into many areas.

/me looked at the network, where there are about 50k routes in ospf.... so what?
There is nothing to worry about in your case....
