How to set up a lan-to-lan bridge on a pair of Planet GRT-101?

Tried to do it exactly according to the instructions - does not work. Settings (from the manual):
Client 1:
ip 192.168.0.100, mask 24, gateway 192.168.0.1
- twisted pair to modem lan port
Client modem 1:
bridge - co side, ip 192.168.0.1, mask 24, gateway 192.168.0.2
- two wires between ports Line modems (VPI 0, VCI 32, LLC)
Client modem 2:
bridge - cpe side, ip 192.168.0.2, mask 24, gateway 192.168.0.1
- twisted pair to modem lan port
Client 2:
ip 192.168.0.200 , mask 24, gateway 192.168.0.2
Only the modem on its side can be pinged from any client. Maybe additional settings are needed, which the user manual is silent about?

According to this scheme, it started.
Either immediately on the client, the gateway had to register the ip of the router, and not the modem, as the manufacturer recommends, or someone from the first pair of modems was not working.
