Actually, I'm looking for such an extension. I open PDF in Adobe Reader Plugin (firefox), I want to translate individual words. Previously, I used the "y-translate" extension for this, now it has been removed by the author. Tried others, for some reason they don't grab text from Adobe Reader. Maybe someone will tell?

So far I've found a solution like this:

• Chromium browser
  The result - I read pdf, double-clicking on a word gives its translation, the word can be saved to Leo's dictionary.
  And all this on a dark background and in a comfortable contrast. Yo!
