Is there an event fired when installing or uninstalling a Firefox extension?

You need to find out if this is the first installation of the Firefox extension or not, but in general the problem is that when you remove the extension, the sqlite database is not deleted. Somehow it needs to be demolished either when removing the extension or when installing it.
