How to bookmark the navigation bar?

There is a need to bookmark the navigation bar. I was looking for addons for browsers firefox, google chrome. I have a bookmark with pseudo-protocol "javascript:var el=...".

For firefox tried Custom Buttons but it doesn't allow my "link" to be used.

For chrome, you can write a simple addon or take an addon that opens some page and change the link in the sources.

For fox, you can right-click on the navigation bar and select customize… and then drag the Bookmarks toolbar items wherever you want. True, all the bookmarks will be there at once.
