Is there a strong lack of RAM when developing for iOS on an Apple MacBook Air 13?

Who has experience developing for iOS on this device? Is there a strong limitation in RAM?

I plan to take this device in a configuration with 8GB of RAM. Yes, on a desktop, I sometimes run into this limit, but for a laptop of this kind, is this really a limitation?

It's very rare for XCode to freeze (on 4GB), but generally no problems.

I'm developing on a 13-inch 4 GB firmware, everything works fine, the screen size is also enough.
When I was going to take it, I also doubted about the RAM and about the screen size, but I took a chance and I do not regret

I use air with 4GB up and down for mobile development for iOS and Android. Sometimes both IDEs with a browser are open. There are no problems. The small amount of memory compensates for the SSD.

4 GB of RAM is enough, but the processor is weak. Xcode 5 is a rather slow thing, and when writing more or less serious programs, you will sit and wait for it.
