Should I take a MacBook air 13 for layout?

Actually, I saved up a little money and decided to buy myself a new laptop. There was a choice between 2 models: MacBook air 13 or MacBook pro 13 retina, both in the minimum configuration, but you still have to save up and save up for the firmware. I need a laptop for layout and stuff like that. Who already has it, how do you like it, your eyes do not get tired, is it comfortable?

In my subjective opinion, a monitor with a diagonal is needed for layout (here Armenian Radio spreads its arms in the "fisherman's gesture"). In order not to arrange flickering from windows (code <-> browser), but simply to look from one to another.

You can take it, but I advise you to buy another 21: 9 monitor.

I am also completely for the monitor with Diagonal! That year I changed the monitor and, before the old one went to the country, I worked with two for a month - you quickly get used to the good! On one code, and on the other site and photoshop - very convenient! So they were 24 each, and here 13 ... a matter of taste and habit, of course!

The diagonal is 17" for layout.
Di and the machine are more powerful.

It is not very convenient for layout, as it was already mentioned here, it is necessary to work in several windows. I have a good 13 inch beech, but for layout I use an old HP with a 17 inch screen. Wouldn't settle for anything less.
If you work in the subway, on the road, etc. where it is not possible to deploy a larger beech, then this is another matter.

It's not about the size, but about the resolution, FullHD and much more

Air has an antediluvian display, I'm afraid you'll regret it. Save up for Pro Late 13, albeit at a minimum. Enough for the eyes. Unless buy a monitor later.

If there is a monitor, then why not?

AIR has a poor screen. Eyes hurt. Small corners. The colors are flat. In general, I had it - I sold it.
The plans are to take a firmware from 2011-2012 so that you can upgrade, etc. + external monitor 27. In the poppy you code, in the monitor you look at the result.
