Is there a noticeable difference between the 512 and 1024 meter cache of the RAID controller?
I'm planning to buy a hardware RAID controller, but I have the following questions:
- is there a noticeable difference between 512 and 1024 meter cache?
- is there a noticeable difference between 600/800/1200 MHz processes and 1/2 cores?
In general, I choose between LSI MegaRAID SAS 9260-4i and Intel RAID Controller RS2BL040 - in fact the same thing, BUT !: I read this , it says about the additional fee necessary to enable, in particular, MegaRAID CacheCade, and I don’t understand if it is necessary me, because I would like to use an SSD (if there is any sense from it due to the cache of the controller itself)?
- i.e. Do I need to install a caching SSD if the controller already has a cache?
