Is there a free VPN client with auto reconnect?

In general, I remember a year and a half ago I saw on the ipad an application (not jailbreak) free (not openvpn) that skillfully reconnects your VPN connection (used the usual microsoft vpn pptp) in case, for example, the vpn server disconnected / rebooted, or just a connection on a wifi / 3g device and so on fell
