Hard disks

Is the HDD alive or not alive - that is the question, or what to do if SMART says who knows what?

Lenovo Flex 14" , completely alive, except for a couple of scratches and ... (oops, suddenly too many letters) of this . Actually, the question is that the patient is alive or in death throes.
External symptoms:
+ Windows takes a VERY long time to load;
+ often freezes +
you open some application (even less than a megabyte) and have time to smoke, chat with a friend, pour coffee, check mail and answer a couple of letters from your smartphone, drink a second mug of coffee and smoke a second pack of cigarettes. incredibly large, with almost no correlation with file size;
Before that everything was ok. Fell exactly once in the first week of life. Worked fine after that for another month. I carry it with me almost constantly (working machine), if it turns off, then at night - the longest thing that shone for him (it happened once or twice because it was discharged). At the same time, the symptoms began to manifest themselves in a strange suspension after a month of life - a month ago. But if then freezes were quite rare and only when it feels like a high load (reading large fragmented files), now ... Almost for every sneeze. It got to the point that Windows loads every other time (sometimes the battery is not enough, and I'm just too lazy to go and turn on the charger, although it keeps it at least 5 hours). Sadness. Turned off swap two weeks ago. Managed to work and do half of the project during this time. Sad if I lose.

Hard is fraying, delays are caused by error correction algorithms and sector reassignment. This is evidenced by the very large Seek_Error_Rate and Reported_Uncorrect. Testing with mhdd won't show you anything good. In any case, save valuable data.
But the huge Command_Timeout may indicate disk incompatibility with the controller.
Considering such a small raid - definitely in the guarantee.

Make a backup.
The patient is still alive, but he got sick.
Do a surface test with MHDD. look at what has changed according to smart.
Then (only after you have made a backup and checked it) run a write test.
It is likely that a subsequent surface reading test will give a satisfactory result.
